Discover Life in America (DLIA) facilitates and coordinates the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) for Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
This is one of the world’s biggest and most ambitious science projects.
DLIA is hosting the 1st ever “Discover Biodiversity at LeConte Lodge” with a guided hike and overnight stay.
It includes a guided hike up Alum Cave Bluff Trail with Andrea Price, an experienced guide who will give natural history, local human history, plant life information, and much more.
There will be an evening sunset program at clifftop, lunch on the trail, with dinner and breakfast provided by the Lodge.
It’s August 15-16, 2009. $295 per person.
