Courtesy of Ann Froschauer, here are some great photos of the fisheries rangers at work and some beautiful Brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis), the only trout native to the Smokies.
The NPS and Trout Unlimited have been successfully restoring native Brook trout populations in the park (and removing non-native Rainbow trout).
