The Smokies awoke to a layer of snow last Saturday! Although we had seen our mountaintops get a nice dusting already, this was the first snow of the season for most parts of the park. Click here or on the photo to experience the beauty of first snowfall in Cades Cove.

“How old does a deer have to get before it turns into an elk?”
Last week GSMA employee, Melinda Powell, was able to clarify this issue for a visitor to the Smoky Mountains (Sevierville Chamber of Commerce) Visitor Center on Highway 66.
