Come on over and experience old-time mountain ways at the annual Mountain Life Festival, held at Oconaluftee Mountain Farm Museum. This year’s event will be on September 18 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Living history demonstrations will get you in touch with the many activities that kept people in this area busy, like making molasses, apple cider, apple butter, cornbread, and greens, and crafting brooms and rugs. The Mountain Farm Museum is located two miles north of Cherokee, NC on US 441 (Newfound Gap Road). Click here to see the fun!
