Im visiting the great smoky's from NY. Im looking for suggestions regarding gear, clothing for hiking chimney tops on 11/07. I hike all 4 season in the adirondacks so im used to carrying some extra winter gear at this time of year. Could I see snow or ice conditions? Should I pack an extra warm layer if I plan to be on the trail at sunrise? Is bear spray necessary?
